This is a great place to try. The steak was wonderful, tender, and flavorful. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and the food is fresh. Great for a romantic setting, or just dinner out.

 The best seafood in Lake County ! Good variety and reasonable pricin. Nice atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Too bad they don't have a better wine list but we were happy to learn you can bring your own bottle. We were very pleased with our first visit last Friday and plan to return.

 Surprisingly good food and atmosphere at Michael's Restaurant. Fine dining in Umatilla - what a find! Varied dinner menu including great steaks, seafood and Italian dishes. Lunch is a more casual affair with burgers, sandwiches, panini, and salads. Remember to book ahead on the weekends. Try it - you'll be glad you did.

My wife, son and guest visited Michael's for the first time on July 24. I have spread the word every day since that this is a destination restaurant and should be experienced often. The menu is expansive and the food is obviously prepared by a seasoned gourmet chef. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and you may choose to bring your own choice of wine, Think Grouper, Sea Bass, Steaks, chicken, veal, duck, pasta..........Appetizers and deserts are wonderful, sauces are to be sampled and ambiance is unexpected as the exterior belies what is inside.

My husband and I have been to Michael's Restaurant in Umatilla, Fl. several times for brunch, lunch and dinner. We have taken several guests and they enjoyed their meals as much as we have.We have spoken to people who have dined and they were very impressed and enjoyed their meals also. Hope that we can enjoy more dining experiences at Michael's. Chef Michael and the staffare very friendly and accommodating.We will visit again soon.Harry and Brenda Rote, Eustis, Fl.

What a wonderful surprise for Umatilla. Food is absolutely delicious and prepared fresh. Minimal wait for good quality food and excellent presentation. This Gourmet restaurant belongs in Winter Park !
